Notes on the Concert at Maple Knoll

The concert went beautifully at Maple Knoll! There were some who had attended the concert at the First Baptist Church on May 15th that came to hear the One Voice Traveling Choir ring again at Maple Knoll. The attendance at the dinner concert was amazing and record-breaking, I believe!

We are Primary 2, Mrs. Patrick's class at Dunblane Primary School. We wanted to say a big "thank you!" to you all for coming to our school to play handbells. We all really enjoyed hearing you play. Our favorite tune was He's Got the Whole World in His Hands.

We have been playing handbells for two months now, even though we are just 6 or 7 years old. Our favourite is I Love the Sun. We played it for our parents and school at our assembly last month.

The One Voice Handbell Choir will be performing at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church in Blooming Glen, PA, at 7 p.m. Blooming Glen Church is located just a few blocks off of Rt. 113. For a map or driving directions to Blooming Glen Church, click here.

The concert will be the preview of the program the One Voice Advanced Handbell Choir and some members of the One Voice Vocal Ensemble will be taking on tour to Scotland with three octaves of our handbells. Our advanced choir consists of home-educated students ages 14-18.

Admission is free. There will be a free-will offering taken to help support the students' missions trip to Scotland.

A Job Well-Done!

The March 12th concert of the advanced choir's Scotland "preview" went beautifully! The Lord provided faithfully for our needs. The choir rang an hour-and-a-half program on top of two practice sessions that day totaling six hours of ringing in one day. Congrats, young people! We're proud of you!!!

The clients and staff of Indian Creek Industries thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Your concert was truly a gift to us, as we rarely have such talented performers come to us. It was a special opportunity for everyone at our work program to be able to enjoy at their own level. We loved the rich variety of songs you performed from the funny to the spiritual, and your solo singers touched us with their beautiful songs.

Thank you so much for blessing our school with your wonderful handbell choirs. I have never heard (our)students applaud as enthusiastically as they did for your performing groups.

The Lord has truly blessed you both with a talent for working with young musicians and I pray that you will continue to use that talent for as long as He allows. I am looking forward to hearing your groups in the future.

Please pass along my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to your students and please wish your senior ringers the best of luck in their trip to Scotland (good luck to both of you as well!).
