Calculating Pages Per Day

The total you receive is basically the number of pages in your textbook divided by 180 (the number of days required by the home-school law). If you receive a decimal number, the best thing to do is to have your child do more in the beginning of the year and slow down as the school year comes to a close. The reason for this is that the work is easier in the beginning of the year, and the children are fresh and eager to learn. At the end of the school year they just want to be done.

For example, if you come up with 1.7777 pages per day from a 320 page book, do 2 pages for the first 140 days and 1 page for the remaining 40 days.
